Heroine Caught Red Handed In Hyd Star Hotel

Just when everyone thought that the recent arrest of actress Yamuna would create an alarm among the other starlets, nothing seems to have changed. Well, here is the latest incident that has come to light and this time, it has happened in Hyderabad.

Sources say that the top heroine in the recent past who is doing small films now, is seen indulging in prostitution activities. This happened at a five star hotel at 9 PM on 23rd Jan and the task force team who have been watching her moves laid a perfect trap and arrested them.

However, huge stashes of money were given to the team and it is heard that this married heroine has got released. The twist in the tale is the presence of a big politician’s son in the entire episode and the absence of media cameras around saved the heroine.

The actress arrested on charges of prostitution, could have been charging 10 times for a night what she normally charged for a film shoot.

Police have not officially confirmed the name of the actress. But after it was revealed that the her name started with ‘Y’, it was suspected that the actress could be Yamuna, whose last Kannada film Kanteerava was released on Friday.

Police sources said they had been keeping watch for the last three months and on a tip-off, found the actress with the chief executive officer (CEO) of a software company in a city five-star hotel room. The “client” allegedly had Rs 2.5 lakh on him, leading to conjecture that this could have been the payment meant for the actress.

The actress’ acting fees are minuscule in comparison – Rs 10,000 for a day’s shooting for serials and Rs 25,000 for a film.

Sources said the client ‘booked’ the actress after checking her profile on Facebook. It is not known whether the profile was created by the ‘agent’, who was also arrested, or by the actress herself.

Client felt cheatedThere are also rumours that the CEO was unhappy after meeting her in person since she looked much older than she did in photographs.

It is not even confirmed that she was “arrested” and produced before a magistrate. But a woman was taken to the judicial quarters on Thursday evening. Videos show a woman whose face was fully covered with her saree.

What Sandalwood’s sayingCo-stars are not ready to believe that the actress caught in the hotel room was Yamuna.

Tushar Ranganath, who directed Kanteerava, said, “I am shocked. People called to ask if it was Yamuna and I said it could not be. I was not in touch with the actress as it was the production people who got her to do the role. None of us can believe that she was taken by the police. She was a very professional actress and was great to work with on the sets. Even her husband would come to the sets while shooting and both were dignified people.”

Her co-star Vijay said, “It is unbelievable. I cannot believe that what is being shown on television is true.”

The ‘y’ factorYamuna last worked in Kannada film Kanteerava four months ago for 10 days for a remuneration of Rs 2.5 lakh. She is said to charge Rs 10,000 a day for Telugu serials.

Though Yamuna is originally from Bangalore, she is more famous in Andhra Pradesh. She has acted opposite Shiva Rajkumar and Ravichandran in Kannada films Modada Mareyalli and Chinna more than a decade ago. But it was in Tollywood that she made it big. In the last few years, however, she has been confined to character roles and television.

She was also seen in the recent Kannada films, Haage Summane and Shambo Shankara.

Hero To Decide On Shooting In Brothels

While most actors love to flaunt themselves as methodical and genuine actors, there are times when they develop cold feet.

This is what happened to Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor. The two actors are yet to make up their minds to shoot in the brothels of Kamathipura. The buzz suggests director Reema Kagti’s new film starring Aamir Khan is to be shot mostly on real locations.

Reports suggest that both actors are not too keen for shooting in that location.

Although no one has zeroed in on any location for the shoot, the cast — especially the actresses — are not comfortable shooting in such a location like Kamathipura,” a source says.

Apparently, the final meeting to decide the location will be held very soon. Aamir, till now, has been busy with his nephew Imran Khan’s wedding proceedings. Now, he will relatively be free to discuss the matter.

“Aamir and Reema will take the final call. Everything, from the security of the actors to the logistics, will be decided upon. And Aamir will give the go- ahead only if he is convinced that all arrangements are sorted out,” the source adds.

How daring the two A- list stars will be, is something we have to watch out for.
