How about mummifying Sai Baba?

The demise of spiritual leader Satya Sai Baba has brought a lot of grief to his devotees so much that they are unable to bear that they would not be able to see him physically after Wednesday, when he would be laid to rest in Samadhi.
Some of the devotees, like for example minister for minor irrigation T G Venkatesh, were wondering whether it would be possible to keep the body of Baba as it is, without being buried in Samadhi. “It could be mummified and kept in the Samadhi and could be thrown open to public darshan once in a day every year,” they said.
Well, there are no takers for such a demand, because it is impossible for the doctors to mummify the body. The Hindu customs do not allow such practices, which were witnessed only during medieval periods.
The devotees should feel only his “atma” and not his mortal remains, the trust authorities say.
