Jagapathi Babu's Wrong Approach

There was a time when Jagapathi Babu was considered a branded actor. He had a strong following among the family audiences and eventually he came up with quality roles. However, all that has taken a U-turn over the past 3-4 years and today, he is doing just about any trash role that is coming his way.

A source close to Jaggu revealed “Yearly, Jagapathi Babu’s target is to do around 10 films and he doesn’t mind what trash he is offered. However, he is working on count of 10 days, 15 days call sheet. He is ready to do any character for instant cash and remuneration is approximately Rs 30-50 lakhs. In cases of advance payment, he is not asking even the story also.”

While many are wondering the cause for this extreme behaviour, here is the last bit from the source. He adds “Jagapathi Babu has got into lot of loans due to his vice of gambling in casinos. Now, he is busy clearing his financial debts at the cost of his career and star image. For a man who was considered the new age Sobhan Babu, it is rather sad to see him ruining his future like this.”

Big Hero Keeps Hands In Her Blouse

Commercial directors often rely upon masala gestures onscreen to please the masses and make some money. However, such things require a masala image hero to do it and right now, it looks like Jagapathi Babu who had a family image is getting into it. Incidentally, he has become the topic of discussion.

Jaggu’s latest release is ‘Chattam’ and in one of the song sequences, it is heard that he pulls heroine Vimala Raman close to him by keeping his hand in her blouse. This has become a discussion among the public and people are now going to the cinema just for that scene. As such, it is the hype getting generated due to the talk which is drawing crowds.

Discussions are also happening on this scene and the raunchy chemistry that both Jagapathi Babu and Vimala Raman have shared in their films. Whether ‘Chattam’ will teach any good law to the public or not, the hand in blouse scene sure seems to be teaching new things to the audience.

Jagapathi Babu's new account for Sexy Aunty

Jagapathi Babu's new account for Sexy Aunty
Jagapathi Babu is quite a family hero when it comes to films. He attracts family ladies to theatres more than any other hero. But out of camera lighting, he is regarded as lavish character who loves to enjoy each and every minute his own way. Off late all his films are tagged with unadulterated adult content and heroines Priyamani, Vimala Raman have become his permanent accounts to provide fun for audience. Perhaps they are also enjoying the fame of Jagapathi Babu. Now, a new sexy aunty taking the account in this manly hero’s bank is Asha Saini.

'Chattam' is the film which brought them together. After that voluptuous exposing of assets before Jagapathi Babu in an item song, he is pleased with her co-operative and desperate attitude. From the same day our hero started recommending Asha Saini's natural sex appeal to other producers, directors. However, the sexy aunt feels proud in satisfying JB and hoping that 'Chattam' would bring more item offers.

Jagapathi Babu In Depression!!!

Lately, Jagapathi Babu is being seen in nearly three out of six films and irrespective of his image, he has been donning all sorts of roles. This has raised many eyebrows in the cine circuit and also among the audience. Well, sources close to Jaggu reveal that he is currently going through a severe bout of depression.

Well, it is not just the emotional thing but more than that, it is the financial depression. Apparently, sources say Jagapathi Babu is immersed in serious financial commitments and that’s why he is picking up any role that is coming his way to clear them. However, those who know him personally say these commitments are not justified.

A friend of the star revealed “Jaggu has this bad addiction to gambling. He keeps visiting the casino in Goa and blew away a lot of money there. Now he is busy trying to make up for all that unwanted expenditure. In this process, his career graph has been going down drastically with the kind of movies he is doing.” Wonder what Jaggu has to say to this..

Dud Heroes 'Dappu' for Family Hero

Dud Heroes 'Dappu' for Family Hero
Usually, publicity takes all forms to ensure a smooth run of the film before recovering money for producers. Even if the film is slated as a dud at the Box Office, 'Publicity' monster never stops its work, making people laugh further. More interest is generated if utter flop heroes talk about another utter flop flick.

Jagapathi Babu's recent release 'Chattam' is pulled out of many theatres for the negative talk it got on day one itself. With a predictable storyline and less technical standards, director Arun Prasad (Pawan Kalyan's 'Thammudu' fame) failed to deliver a gripping tight content that can woo the viewers. On the other hand, dud heroes like Rajasekhar and Tarun are speaking a lot in the media about this flick. Rajasekhar went on comparing the flick with his 'Ankusam', while Tarun stated that the concept is thrilling. Industry people are poking fun at these flop stars for the 'dappu' they are beating in people's ears. Other than this 'dappu', there is nothing in the film that can hold the audience, where Jagapathi babu kills dreaded terrorist Kasab.

Home Department warns Jagapathi Babu!

Home Department warns Jagapathi Babu!
Keeping his hit and flop aside, Jagapathi is one such actor who is never tired of his journey in Film Industry. While giving continuous entertainment to the audience, Jagapathi seems to be depending on few 'x' rated elements. For the same reason, 'Home Department' has given a statuary warning to him.

Jagapathi Babu's latest flick 'Chattam' has him killing the dreaded terrorist Kasab. It is not for this reason, Home Department has given him a warning. The department comprised of his wife and darling daughters has warned him about the consequences they are facing due to Jagapathi's romance with sexy heroines. Right from his 'Pellaina Kothalo', Jagapathi’s romance with heroines like Priyamani, Mamta Mohandas and Vimala Raman has crossed boundaries many times with sensuous kisses to sexy body touching. Though the audiences are enjoying this, his wife and grown up daughters will surely face some problems in the society. Wait and see if Jagapathi changes his route to romance or remains the same.

'Chattam' Review: Jagapathi Babu Kills Kasab!!

Rating: 2/5Banner: Visakha Talkies
Cast: Jagapathi Babu, Vimala Raman, Murali Sharma and others
Music: P M M Srilekha
Cinematography: Jaswant
Editing: Gautham Raju
Story, screenplay, direction: P A Arun Prasad
Producers: Natti Kumar, T Rama Satyanarayana
Release date: 25/03/2011
Noted actor Jagapathi Babu is back and this time he is donning the role of a cop. He is flanked by his regular favorite Vimala Raman so let us see how the movie is.
Story:Gowri Shankar (Jagapathi Babu) is a police inspector and he believes in doing settlements, taking commissions for his work and is corrupted. He is assisted by his constable Ranga Rao (Jeeva).
A case of acid attack on college students and the kidnapping of a girl and her killing brings some tension but things get complicated as the criminals in both cases are also killed. In comes CB-CID officer (Murali Sharma) to investigate the deaths and he is assisted by Gowri.
His investigations lead him to discover that Gowri is the killer. Why does Gowri kill them?
Why he decides to kill even the dreaded terrorist Hasab (Amit Dhawan)? All this forms the rest of the story.
Performances:Jagapathi Babu does his bit as required and it is a cakewalk for him. As such, there is nothing impact creating from him and he goes about doing his job mechanically.
Vimala Raman is there to add the glamour for the songs and indulge in some skin show. Though she doesn’t have that sort of body or curves to flaunt her sex appeal is quite natural.
Murali Sharma is a natural performer. He is a strong talent who deserves more chances. He does his bit effectively and has a strong screen presence.
Asha Saini looks sizzling and seductive, she has that oomph which can raise the heat. Jeeva was usual. Amit Dhawan was eccentric. Ravu Ramesh was consistent. The others didn’t have much to do.
Highlights
  • Last ten minutes
  • Murali Sharma’s performance
Drawbacks
  • Weak direction
  • Predictable storyline
  • Low technical values
  • No grip in any scene
  • No comedy
  • Dull romance
Analysis
To start with, director PA Arun Prasad must be appreciated for involving the terrorist Ajmal Kasab in his film and the fact that our hero goes and kills him. Apart from that, the rest of the film has taken the lead from the acid attack cases on Praneetha (whose killers were encountered by police as wished in this film) and the boiler killing of the little girl Vyshnavi in Vijayawada.
Just like a director has his strokes in a film, PA Arun Kumar shows his strokes by creating some raunchy scenes and inferior comedy. Overall, the film’s attempt to convey a strong message is appreciable but the logic and the way the message was conveyed was not practical.
It is true that looking at the present day functioning of law and order, citizens tend to incline towards tribal law that states ‘an eye for an eye’ and a ‘life for a life’. But the consequences of that are to be studied. That is a very big debatable issue indeed.
At the box office, there is nothing that the film has to hold the audience so the chance of below average result is high.
Bottom-line: Watch it for last ten minutes!!

Key Will Surprise Audiences - Jagapathi Babu

Dil Raju launching the trailer of Key

Family hero Jagapathi Babu of late has been trying hard to break away from the soft guy image everyone has tagged him into. Though his experiments haven't tasted success, his performances in the films have been more or less appreciated. The moderate success of Jai Bolo Telangana and his portrayal in it is an example of what Jagapathi Babu can do beyond family dramas.

He is presently focussing on a film named Key which is being directed by newcomer Nagendra Prasad under the banner of Dream Theatre. The actor has told that he had a magnificent experience shooting for the film and hopes the film to strike gold at the ticket window. He emphasises that the appreciation of the film will hold the 'key' for a positive change in Telugu Cinema. Dil Raju who was a part of the team releasing the website and the trailer too expressed his genuine hope that the film will sway the audience.

Jagapathi Babu's Remuneration: 2 Full Bottles

How much could actor Jagapathi Babu have charged for his role “Bandagi” in “Jai Bolo Telangana?”
One does not know exactly what Jagapathi Babu is charging for his films these days. Perhaps, he might have charged a couple of lakhs from producer-director Shankar as he has made only a special appearance in the film.
However, after watching the movie and the way Jagapathi Babu’s character was designed, a Telangana journalist sarcastically commented that Shankar might have given him just a couple of full bottles of liquor: one for the appearance before interval and the other for his after-interval appearance.
Well, everybody knows Jagapathi Babu boozes a little heavily. And nothing would satisfy him more than booze. Perhaps, Shankar might have capitalized on it, the journo was commenting, of course, over a couple of drinks in Press Club!

Who Is Real Hero: KCR Or Gaddar Or Jagapathi Babu

Any film’s success always depends on the hero factor and how well he shoulders it throughout the duration. However, a dilemma has risen over the latest release ‘Jai Bholo Telangana’ and those who watched it are now trying to figure out who is the actual hero of the film. For now, there are three contenders- KCR, Gaddar, Jagapathi Babu. Each of them has played a key role in this project but here is an analysis on the topic.

For starters, KCR started a movement and though the basis for that is sheer politics, it has turned out to be a great movement. However, he was once the kingpin of this movement but it has gone beyond his control as many groups have risen seeing the potential in it. Today, KCR is used more like a reference panel but each group has its own agenda and motives in the name of Telangana movement.

As for the director N Shankar, he had a good chance to come up with something historical but he has not used it in the right way. If he was able to educate the audience on the essence of Telangana instead of a silly love story and unwanted offensive comments, then he would have marked a name for himself in history. Anyways, it looks obvious that he doesn’t have the brains for something ambitious like that and he seems to be a small time commercial thinker trying to take advantage of a sentiment and making a quick buck.

It is not sure why Jagapathi Babu took up this role but the positive side of it is, he has shown that regions are no barrier when it comes to cinema. However, the etching of his character was not that powerful and though he is the hero technically, he was unable to get the certificate from the audience.

So, the time has come for the real hero of the film. He is none other than Gaddar. This revolutionary ballad singer came up with ‘Podustunna poddu…’ and that single number was enough to put the crowds into frenzy. While youth got hysteric with the song, the energy levels of Gaddar and his thrust in vocals was enough to boost a mania beyond control. He may not be a success in politics but he sure is an icon in the Telangana area which was clearly visible with the audience response when they saw ‘Jai Bholo Telangana’. The major part of film’s success should be attributed to Gaddar.
