Nagarjuna Finds New Tabu?

Despite a million denials, the Telugu cine industry and its members have vouched that Nagarjuna and Tabu share ‘something-something’. On the other hand, the gossips on both have been written in many places across different mediums. However, the focus is not on that but something else.

Well, this is about Nag finding a new Tabu. Well, this is the new observation coming from the cine folks after watching Nag’s new company. Lately, it is heard that Nag is being spotted with Poonam Kaur. This has reportedly increased after Poonam has worked with Nag in the recent release ‘Gaganam’.

Apparently, sources say Nag who has always preferred the company of top league heroines seems to be showing special interest in Poonam. And Poonam is obviously fallen flat for Nag’s patronage.

'Gaganam' Copied From Copied Film!!

It is heard that many are unable to watch the success meet of the film ‘Gaganam’ on TV. Well, the reason for that is the common feeling that this is a total copy. Well, a Hollywood film was first copied and some desi elements were added to it by the Bollywood folks, this came up as a film.

Later, the Bollywood version has been modified a little further and that shaped up as ‘Gaganam’. Many are saying that at this rate, the day is not far when Tollywood will be filled with copied stories only.

For the record, the main theme of ‘Gaganam’ was copied from the Bollywood movie ‘Zameen’ which had Ajay Devgan, Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu. In turn, ‘Zameen’ was copied from the Hollywood movie ‘Executive Decision’ which had Kurt Russell, Steven Seagal, Halle Berry in the lead.

Tollywood Trade Talk: Mixed Fortunes

The time has come to have a look at what is happening at the box office. Well, two films were released last week and both of them are from different genres. One thing that stands out is the fact that there seems to be an attempt to change the storylines and the presentation of the film.

Firstly, we have ‘Gaganam’ and this had Nagarjuna in the lead as a commando. This was directed by Radha Mohan and produced by Dil Raju. The film is giving a feel good factor to the audience and more of such movies are required.

Then comes ‘Vasthadu Naa Raju’ which had Manchu Vishnu and Taapsee Pannu in the lead. This was directed by debutante Hemant Madhukar while Manchu Vishnu was the producer. The film has turned out to be a disappointment in terms of collections. The other film running is ‘Jai Bholo Telangana’ getting steady collections in the T-region.

Nagarjuna Is A Flop In Tamilnadu

It is nearly a decade since Nagarjuna has set foot in Kollywood circuit. So, when it was announced that ‘Payanam’, the Tamil version of ‘Gaganam’ was arriving, the excitement was high. However, latest reports suggest that our man has not been able to deliver his punch to the Tamil Thambis.

News is that ‘Payanam’ has been declared a flop despite good reviews. The audience is thinking it is dubbing cinema and not a straight Tamil movie. Though compliments were showered on Nag for his looks, the viewers felt that something was missing and they could not connect to the film in the required way.

Already, sources say Nag was to team up with Tamil superstar Ajith for a new project in Tamil but he backed out at the last moment. Now, with his latest venture also becoming a dud, it appears that Nag might have to settle for Tollywood projects and maybe push his films in dubbed format to Tamil Nadu.

Report: 'Gaganam' - Bad Collections

The cine industry is a place which stands as a stark example for strokes of fate. The best example for that are those super talented actors who never get successful. Then there are those movies which have ample potential to become hits but don’t. Right now, the focus is on a film like that.

This is ‘Gaganam’. Though the film got good critical acclaim and many liked the approach, reports are coming in that the collections are not working out. Already, the overseas reports are giving a total thumbs down to the film while the situation in Andhra Pradesh has been staggering.

The analysts say that it can be revived if the post release promotion goes aggressive. However, one section of the audience feels it is more of an experimental film than mainstream cinema. Due to this, the commercial point of view would be weak, they add. Perhaps Dil Raju and Nagarjuna should do some brainstorming to set things right.

Nagarjuna's Comedy On Chiranjeevi

“There is no God father. There is no cinema background in family. Yet Chiranjeevi climbed greater heights”. These are the words of Nagarjuna in public meetings whenever he speaks about Chiru.
But still when it comes to cinema, Nagarjuna didn’t hesitate to ridicule Chiranjeevi in the worst way possible.
The fresh movie 'Gaganam' reached screens today. And people are discussing on the character called 'Shining Star' in the movie. The character was played by Prithvi and many are concluding that the character is a replica of Chiranjeevi. ‘Shining Star’ is a top film star in the movie who gets into the flight. He also has a fan that gets fascinated by him in flight. When the flight gets hijacked, the fan expects that ‘Shining Star’ gets into action and protects all the passengers. But in turn, the ‘Shining Star’ gets frightened and weeps. This makes the fan disgusted.
This scene recalls an incident that happened in the year 1993. The flight that was carrying Chiranjeevi and many other passengers was landed near Tirupathi in emergency. With the fellow passengers it was revealed that Chiranjeevi shocked and shouted like anything inside the flight knowing that the flight was under danger. Chiranjeevi's fear was revealed to public that way.
The point to be underlined is that the flight in 'Gaganam' also lands in Tirupathi Airport. There is also another incident in the film that directly hits Chiranjeevi. The fan says to Shining Star, "..your dialogues are superb. Your fresh dialogue 'cheyye kadaa ani cheyyi veste cheyyi teesthaa' is really super sir".
Well, this dialogue resembles the popular dialogue 'mokke kada ani peekeste peeka kosthaa', from Chiranjeevi's 'Indra'.
Chiranjeevi is sailing in bad time and his close friend Nagarjuna also ridiculed him this way through his film.

'Gaganam' Gets 'S.O' In Multiplexes

It has been a norm of sorts in Telugu cinema that any film which gets delayed and pending for a long time loses its interest factor among the audience. It becomes a flop as soon as it releases. However, the latest arrival ‘Gaganam’ seems to be breaking that jinx if internal sources are to be believed.

The analysts now say that the film will have strong openings. Apparently, the makers went ahead and daringly showed the cinema across various cities before the actual release date. So far, the response from the audience and the critics has been quite positive and talk is spread strongly.

The overall analysis is that the collections at multiplexes will be nice but the key lies with other centers. How the mass audience and B, C town viewers will receive this film has to be seen since there is not one song nor any sizzling heroine or any punch dialogues from hero Nagarjuna in this.
