Ramoji's 'Cat And Mouse' Game With IT Officials

If Ramoji Rao is known as a media baron to all, he is also known as a sly businessman who knows how to dwindle funds and stack them without getting anyone’s attention.

Right now, it is heard that Ramoji is being visited not by aspiring actors or directors but by the Income Tax officials.

Buzz is that Ramoji owes a whopping Rs 200 crores to the IT department but then he has been keeping the IT folks in the dark. Sources say that he had inked an agreement to sell distribution rights of two films of his and raked in Rs 400 crores. However, it is heard that he has not got that on accounts and kept the IT department out of it.

A source from the IT department says Ramoji has been playing a ‘cat and mouse’ game since quite a while. He added that even through his Margadarsi chit fund, he has made good money and owes nearly Rs 5 crores worth of tax right in 2009. However, sources say that when Ramoji Rao watched first print of ‘Nachchavule’, he said it was trash and must be thrown in dustbin. But Kiron took that to release and that became a super hit. Ramoji is not willing to involve into the project at any point. All that he wants is a hit. If Ravi Babu makes a hit Ramoji will be silent as usual. If he gives a flop then he will ride on his story and operations team.
