Dil Raju's Record: 1 Production @ 5 Years

Touted as the biggest producer and distributor of Telugu Film Industry, Dil Raju is into creating all sorts of records. Being a head of ‘Cost Cutting Committee’, this star-producer doesn't seem to know what that 'cost-cutting' is. Have a look at his record to know the news. Dil Raju is sending shivers down the spines of Telugu directors and distributors after working on a movie for a long time of 5 years. We are talking about director Dasarath's upcoming flick 'Mr.Perfect' that has young rebel star Prabhas, Kajal Agarwal and Tapsee in the leads. It is heard that Dasarath has been working on this script from the last five years with the support of Dil Raju. The script wrinkled in the hands of Dasarath for 3 years, before getting fine tuned by 'master screenplay writer' Dil Raju for one more year and is on sets for another year. Finally, after five years of haul, 'Mr.Perfect' is hitting screens on 22nd April to rejoice movie lovers. Let us see if the movie creates any other record other than this one created by Dil Raju.

Will Dil Raju Follow 14 Days Period?

It is a general practice to see that when big films arrive, there is a gap of one week between each so that the collections don’t get affected. One can see how there was a gap between ‘Shakti’ and ‘Teen Maar’, this was for 14 days. It is a different issue that ‘Shakti’ didn’t last for even 4 days correctly.

However, the equations change when the film gets a hit talk. Right now, that seems to be the case as Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Teen Maar’ has got a very positive report. With this, all eyes are now on producer Dil Raju as he has scheduled the release of his movie ‘Mr Perfect’ for April 22nd, just a week’s gap.

The cine folks are waiting to see if Dil Raju will go ahead with the release or whether he would go in for a 14 day gap and postpone the release by a week. On the other hand, sources say distributors have begun to request Dil Raju to go for a postponement. Whereas Dil Raju feels that Teenmaar will topple down by Monday. But with movies like ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ ‘100% Love’ right behind, let us see what Dil Raju will do.

While this is the case, sources from other side say that even Botsa Satyanarayana is requesting Dil Raju to postpone Mr Perfect release as that would effect the collections of his Teenmaar (Botsa is actual producer while Ganesh is in title cards). We have to see what decision Dil Raju will take.

It is a very long period of 10 years that Pawan Kalyan never delivered a super hit like 'Khushi' or 'Tholi Prema'. Although producers lost faith on him with 'Johnny', 'Gudumba Shankar', 'Bangaram', 'Balu' and 'Puli', this is time for power star to regain his lost glory with 'Teen Maar'. Other side, producer Dil Raju anticipating the result of 'Puli' to repeat for 'Teen Maar' declared proudly about his project with Prabhas,'Mr. Perfect' hitting the screens on 21st of this month exactly in a week gap with Pawan Kalyan. Dil Raju is also sailing in the same boat as other loss making producers in recent past with few disasters like 'Josh' and 'Maro Charitra'. Dil Raju, who was tagged as big producer till yesterday, is now proving that his career has seen full circle.

He entered the filmdom with a dubbing film and later produced the film 'Dil' and became famous as Dil Raju. He climbed greater heights in shorter time. But he has fallen at same pace. He has seen successive flops after successful movies. At present he is making the film, 'Mr Perfect' with Prabhas and he himself is saying that it would be the last film with big hero by him.

On the other hand after a 10 years gap Dil Raju is dubbing the film 'Eeram' made by Shankar in Tamil with the title 'Vaishali' in Telugu. Sindhu Menon is female lead in the film. Thus, Dil Raju is back to starting point.

Will Jr NTR Give Dates To Dil Raju Ever?

It is an open fact that Junior NTR and producer Dil Raju are very close to each other. It is heard that at one point, Junior used to address Dil Raju as ‘Raj Anna’. However, all this bonding was happening before the film ‘Brindaavanam’ happened but now it is gossiped that maybe Junior will never give his dates to Dil Raju.

Here is the reason for that. Inside sources reveal that after ‘Brindaavanam’ there were few ego clashes between junior and Dil Raju. Professionally, it led to some friction and this has resulted in a cold war, as per sources. Now, they say that Junior will never give his dates and Dil Raju will never ask for Junior’s dates.

But few cine members say “Ego clashes are quite common between big names in cinema but then such things fizzle out in due course. Here, the question remains as to what has led to this cold war. For now, we can say that only those two and friends close to those two know the reasons for these misunderstandings.”

After taking audience for a merry ride with his 'Darling', Young Rebel Star Prabhas became the hot favorite of many young girls. Though the credit goes to director Karunakaran, the looks of Prabhas have become a talk by then. Prabhas's upcoming flick 'Mr.Perfect' too portrays him in a different look like a combo of lover-boy and class action hero. Siddharth, Shruti Haasan’s tentatively titled film O My Friend has kicked- off its shoot from today. Hansika and Navadeep will also be seen in vital roles in the movie. Debutant Venu Sriram will handle the megaphone for the film and Dil Raju is producing it on Sri Venkateshwara Creations banner.Venu Sriram has earlier worked in direction department in Dil Raju’s films.O My Friend is Siddharth’s second film with Dil Raju after the mega hit Bommarillu and also his second flick with Shruti Haasan after the recently released film Anaganaga O Dheerudu.As the title says, the movie is said to be based on the value of friendship.

Dil Raju Shivered With SP Threat

Producer Dil Raju shot to fame within a short span and made a mark for himself as one among the top league producers. Today, he is considered one among the Big 4 when it comes to producing or having a grip over theatres. However, it appears that even the bold and gutsy Dil Raju had to tremble a bit due to one threat.

This is the ‘small producers’ threat. Apparently, there is a widening gap between the big league and second range producers in Tollywood. The twist is that, the small time producers are not keeping quiet this time and are using every opportunity to voice out their protests and concerns in front of media and public.

Recently, one among the Small Producers Natti Kumar who plays an active role in the agitation was coming up with the film ‘Key’. He invited Dil Raju as special guest. And he came running for the event. Those who saw Dil Raju said “he seems to be feeling the heat of the small producers that’s why he must have come”.

Dil Raju Produces Sunil's 'Napolean'

It is known that Sunil’s next film ‘Napolean’ is going to be directed by Koti, who got apprenticed at SS Rajamouli in the production of Tolly 2 Holly Ganesh Indukuri. But now the fresh news states that Ganesh Indukuri backed from the project as Dil Raju has shown interest in it.

The budget constraints of Ganesh Indukuri played big role in shifting this project from Ganesh Indukuri to Dil Raju.

The film is going on to the floors on 25th of March. The other details of the film are going to be revealed shortly. Sunil is going to appear on screen with 8-pack look for the first time.
