The ongoing Tollywood strike has been causing a major impact on the day to day activities of the Telugu cine industry and it is now heard that the producers have come up with a new proposal. This time, the focus is on the remuneration of the heroes and how that has to be streamlined.
It is heard that the producer council has started pressurizing that there must be a cut in the heroes pay to nearly 50%. They are reportedly stating that the Telugu stars are demanding payments on par with Hindi heroes and they feel the only way to make Telugu film industry alive is to work upon the hero’s fee.
The contention is that whenever a film suffers a loss, it usually totals up to the star remunerations. So, a cut in that department along with a cut in the production cost will prove beneficial as per the producers. The producers can come out making break even if not profits, with that method.
