'Shakti'- Expectations Very Down- A Boon!!!

It has been a testified history that films that come in with huge expectations usually tend to disappoint audience and end up becoming duds. On the contrary, films that come in with silence or negative talk pick up massively and become blockbusters. The likes of ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ in Bollywood, ‘Arundhati’ ‘Chatrapathi’ are some examples.

Right now, one film is in the negative talk bracket. This is the magnum opus ‘Shakti. Severe criticism has been making rounds that Junior NTR’s getup is not good, songs are not that great, Meher Ramesh is not a credible director etc. All these have brought the expectations down on ‘Shakti’ significantly.

Now, the trade pundits say that even if the film is a little better than normal, then it will rock and will get audience’s approval. The key to this is the content, if it is little better it will click at the box office, they add. So, it could well be that the negative airs that has been spread about ‘Shakti’ could well be a blessing in disguise after all.
