Sanskrit Song In Ravi Teja's 'Veera'

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja has always been known for his hardcore masala dialogues and most of his songs also carry a special flavor which is relished by the masses. However, it appears that he might be arriving with a variety of sorts when it comes to the songs of his new movie ‘Veera’.

Many years back, in the film ‘Maharshi’ the lyricist Jonnavithula has written a Sanskrit song. After that, the essence of Sanskrit was heard on and off in few cinema songs and devotional songs. But there was never a full length Sanskrit song. However, it appears that Ravi Teja might fill that gap.

Sources say there is a full length Sanskrit song in his movie ‘Veera’ and the talented Thaman is composing the music.  However, one talk is that the song is not complete Sanskrit but it will have good parts of it. The other version is that it is going to be an authentic Sanskrit song. Only time will give the clear picture….

Ravi Teja And Trisha 'BamchikBam'

The combo of Ravi Teja and Trisha has given a super hit like ‘Krishna’ and now the chances are that both of them would be pairing up once again. Incidentally, this is likely to be for a remake arriving from Bollywood. Buzz is that the super hit movie ‘Band Baaja Baraat’ is entering into Tollywood.

The original had Ranveer and Anushka Sharma in the lead and given their mass characterization, the Tollywood folks feel Ravi Teja and Trisha fit the bill. Another source reveals that the film is tentatively titled as ‘Bamchikbam’. Now, another interesting feature is also emerging from it.

‘Band Bajaa…’ has got some interesting smooch sequences between the lead pair and after Trisha’s coochy-coochying with Pawan Kalyan in ‘Teenmaar’, many are positive that she would repeat the act with Ravi Teja as well. Get set for some ‘Bamchikbam’ folks…

I am ready with anyone : Ravi Teja

Everyone knows how tough it is to get the dates of big heroes like Maheshbabu, Pawan Kalyan and Raviteja. But after shooting for four and a half days movie 'Dongalamutaa' with RGV, Raviteja is impressed with simplicity in making a film. He now declared that anyone in Andhra Pradesh can direct a movie with him. He said that aspiring directors can send three and a half minute video shot in Cannon 5D camera to him and that if he is impressed with it, he will do a movie with him.

"I am impressed with the technological advancement. Anyone who understands this technology and is interested in making a movie with me can send a three and a half minute video shot on Cannon 5D camera and send it to me.If it is shot well, I will do a movie with him for sure" Ravi Teja declared.

He also added that the person needn't have any prior experience in making a movie.

"He could be a software employee, an employee in Railways, a farmer or a light boy in film industry. He could be in California or Karimnagar. I am willing to do a movie if the director uses the technology well. I just realised that all it takes to make a movie is a creative thought and nothing else." the mass hero said.

He informed that he will give out his contact details soon for the people to send their videos to.

He says that he is ready to give dates to act if anybody impresses him with an idea making a short clip or a few scenes using a ‘digital camera’.  He made this call after getting excitement and enlightenment by acting in RGV’s ‘Dongala Mutha’ that was made in shocking Rs 6 lakh budget.

Journalist's Shocking Question To RGV

Usually, it is the habit of Ramgopal Varma to give shocks to all with his questions but this time, it was his turn to face an interesting situation. All this happened during the pressmeet on the eve of his ‘Dongala Mutha’ teaser and the concepts behind the making of this film.

A noted journalist Madhu from Sakshi group asked “since the film is made with zero budget, why not have an option wherein the audience watch the film and then decides whether to give money if they like it?”. The immediate reaction from Ramu was ‘Abbaaa…..Aaasa!!’

While Madhu got his answer, another person Suresh Kondeti from Santosham magazine asked “by doing KSD Appalaraju, the talk is that Sunil’s career got a setback. Now with Ravi Teja flying high in his career, do you think ‘Dongala Mutha’ might hamper his graph?”.
For this, director Harish Shankar who was present answered and quoted the example of ‘Shock’ with Ravi Teja which brought smiles to all.

“Suresh ji! You know how we both as director and producer pulled back the career of Ravi Teja with ‘Shock’. I think this is not time to talk about pulling back careers”, said director Harish Shankar.
To this Suresh Kondeti reacted, “I asked this question to RGV”.
To this Harish answered, “But I answered you only”.
That brought laughs for all.

Ravi Teja's B-Plans With 'P-R' Backbone

Ravi Teja is one star who is not just an inspiration for his self-made success but he has a special connect with the masses as well. Now, it is heard that he is planning to take his career to the next level and for this he is reportedly taking the support of his ‘P-R’ contacts.

Well, news is that Ravi Teja is keen on foraying into the Bollywood circuit and the ‘P-R’ factor we are talking about is the duo of Puri Jagannadh and Ramgopal Varma. Incidentally, the mass maharaja speaks very fluent Hindi as Ravi lived in north for many years. So, language is not a problem.

If he gets a good launch he will rule the masses even in the north. On the other hand, RGV has the habit of taking his stars to different states. We have seen that happening with Vivek Oberoi, Sudeep etc. Then, there is Puri who has also stepped in Bollywood and working with big league stars like Amitabh Bachchan. So folks…time seems to have come for Ravi Teja to entertain the Hindi audience.

Ravi Teja- A Right Lesson For Every Star

He is a superstar but behaves like a face in the crowd. He is sober when outside but gets doubly charged up as soon as he faces the camera and is a different person altogether. He came up the hard way and created a brand of his own beating the challenges of superstar families and powerful individuals in cine industry.

He is none other than Ravi Teja and he is the right lesson for every star. Starting his journey as a small time actor, Ravi Teja became the crazy star and eventually the Mass Maharaja. Today, he is reportedly getting Rs 7 crores as remuneration but despite all this success and money, there are no airs in him.

Given his package, Ravi Teja is standing number 2 in Tollywood when it comes to remuneration (first being Jr NTR). But still, he is the dedicated artist who works on 2-3 projects per year and is down to earth. The kind of qualities and professionalism which Ravi has, he sure is a role model for many stars in cinema.

'Dongala Mutha'- New Sense Or Nuisance?

Speaking about news related to colleges, you may have read about science fairs and experiments like lights flashing with snap of a finger, water pumping without electricity etc. There will be those like Ramar Pillai who came up with the concept of ‘Herbal Fuel’. Now all these sensations are limited to news and it is over. Right now, the situation seems to be the same with the new movie ‘Dongala Mutha’.

The question is – whether it creates a new sense or will it be just nuisance? The concept of ‘Dongala Mutha’ can well spark a revolution in cinema history if all goes well. But then, what are the parameters for that? Can it be called a super hit? Because there is no budget component involved, it won’t work if you say the film made one or two crores. The cinema must collect 20 cr plus then it is creating a history.

There needs to be an era – before ‘Dongala Mutha’ and ‘After Dongala Mutha’, in Tollywood history to say that this film will create a new sense. A film which is literally made on zero budget, zero remuneration and relying solely on profits sure sounds appealing but it must meet at least one of the mentioned criteria to create the new sense.

The flip side is, RGV is known for his absolute debacles like ‘RGV Ki Aag’ ‘Agyaat’ and these were more or less concept films which failed to see the light at the box office right on the release day. Will ‘Dongala Mutha’ also go to shed and join them or whether it will create a sensation is the ongoing confusion.

The good side is, it has enough star power and branded technicians to create the right kind of hype. Then there is the unique feature of shooting it in just five days flat which raises the curiosity. Above all, there is the RGV brand factor known for his unconventional cinemas. Looking at all this, the maverick movie maker might well be on the crossroads which can lead him to be the man of the moment or a regular eccentric.

Let us wait and see…

RGV Created History Today

As announced before the start of the project, Dongala Mutha has completed right on schedule, that is, in just 5 days with a crew of only 8 people including the director. Also, unlike some people believe, this film has not been shot on a 24 hour basis. It’s been shot on plain normal shifts that is from 9 am to 6 pm without a single shift being extended.
This opens new doors and to a new approach towards filmmaking and shows all concerned in the industry what it could never even dreamt have possible.
The speed of the shoot is attributed to the unique structure of the production process - 4 Canon cameras were used to capture every shot in multiple angles simultaneously, with absolutely no lights or additional equipment such as dollys, jibs etc. The entire film has been shot hand-held and in natural light.
The film stars Ravi Teja, Charmi, Prakash Raj, Laxmi Manchu, Brahmanandam, Subbaraju, Brahmaji, & Supreet. Adding to its list of first-times in the industry is the fact that the entire film is being made on a zero budget. None of the cast or technicians are being paid any monetary remuneration. Their payments will come only from the profits of the film.
Using digital technology to its maximum, the film is racing through its post-production and will be ready for theatrical release on 4th March 2011, that is in just 23 days from day 1 of the shoot.
In here, we are releasing some of the production stills of Dongala Mutha.

'Bracketing' On High Range In Tollywood??

Don’t be under the panic that already the Tollywood circuit is getting affected with drugs, sex scandals, mafia and now this ‘Bracketing’. The point is, lately our Tollywood stars have begun to attach their pet names in brackets and this has become a common practice. Producer Nallamalapu Srinivas attaches Bujji in the bracket. It seems his folks at home call him affectionately and his desire is that the world should also address him the same way.

Similarly, having scored good marks with his debut film ‘Gamyam’ and stuttering a bit with his ‘Vedam’, director Jagarlamudi Radhakrishna has attached Krish in the bracket. Having made his debut with ‘Yuvatha’ and scoring a flop with ‘Anjaneyulu’ starring Ravi Teja, director Parasuram is doing his third film with Nara Rohit. He has the habit of attaching ‘Bujji’ in the bracket as his pet name. It is heard that he gets very upset if the pet name is not mentioned at times.

Then comes another director Lakshminarayana who made the film ‘Andagaadu’ with Sunil and is currently busy with ‘Manchivadu’ starring Tanish. It is heard that he has the habit of putting the name ‘Deepthi’ in the bracket.

This way, the ‘Bracketing’ culture has begun to grow strongly in the Tollywood circuit.

Kajal Enjoying Ravi Teja’s Energies

It is know that Kajal is now acting with Ravi Teja in the film ‘Veera’. She is experienced with energies of several heroes right from Kalyan Ram with ‘Lakshmi Kalyanam’ to Sumanth, Navadep., Allu Arjun, Jr NTR to Ram Charan to many heroes. But she is saying that Ravi Teja’s energies are mind blowing when compared with any other hero.

Not just with her friends but she expressed the same with media also recently stating, “RaVi Teja’s energies are mind blowing”. No one knows what sort of energies Kajal might have discovered in him those were not discovered by others.

Well, this movie is being produced by Ganesh Indurkuri who burnt his fingers by making films like ‘Aa Okkadu’ and ‘Pravarakhyudu’.

'Mirapakaya' Producer's Extras With Ravi Teja

Build-ups and extras are a big part of the cine industry as it is filled with people who bloat with inflated egos. Now, it appears that the same is the case with the producer of the film ‘Mirapakaya’. His name is Ramesh Puppala and his recent statements gave an impression like that.
He was sharing his thoughts with the media about the collections of ‘Mirapakaya’ when he stated that it has touched Rs 25 crores. Those around whispered that it is a blow up figure and inside talk is that the film has not touched that figure exactly. Ramesh then thanked Ravi Teja and added that he wants to do another film with the star.

True to his hyped statement, Ravi Teja gave a jhalak. He said “Last time you gave me some remuneration and since the film has become a hit, this time you give an additional Rs 3 crores for a new project, since you are saying I’m bringing more profits”. Those around said that Ramesh went pale hearing this and gave a sheepish grin. Ramesh understood that Ravi Teja knows the facts of figures.
