Many of the families in entire India banned lunch in their homes yesterday (27th Apr). Many of them happen to be devotees and believers of Satya Sai Baba. They couldn’t cook and eat food watching ‘Mahasamadhi’ procedure on small screens. Many have voluntarily banned cooking and some couldn’t eat even though cooked.

Similar situation was observed in various offices where the employees skipped lunch in the name of Satya Sai Baba.

Keeping the divine aspect aside, Satya Sai happens to be the rarest personality who pulled the love, attention and grief of millions of people to this extent. Yes, he gave them to people and hence got back from them. Well, that’s may be called ‘divinity’!!

Temple For Sai Baba On Lines Of Shirdi!

In a bid to perpetuate the divinity of Sathya Sai Baba, his followers are planning to build a temple in his name on the lines of Shirdi Sai Baba shrine. The Samadhi at Puttaparthi will be converted into a temple.

The Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, which manages the global network of Baba’s spiritual and social activities, is believed to have conveyed this proposal to the state government. On its part, the government has also given a go-ahead.

The mortal remains of Baba will be buried at Sai Kulwant Hall of “Prasanthi Nilayam, a place where the spiritual guru used to address his devotees for nearly six decades. This will now become the sanctum sanctorum around which a grand temple is being proposed.

Baba’s devotees hope that Puttaparthi will continue to attract pilgrims from across the globe and remain a thriving spiritual hub once a grand temple is built.

The departure of Puttaparthi Satya Sai Baba has caused grief to many of his followers but now measures are being considered to make his presence eternal. As such, Satya Sai has earned the admiration of many more for his services than his godly acts. Now, it is heard that the state education department has begun mulling over doing its share as a tribute to Baba. As usual, it was TV9 channel which came up with some startling visuals and without hesitation claimed themselves to be the first ones to give an exclusive.

Apparently, visuals from hospital were shown by the channel and they named it as ‘someone sent’ it. Later, they began to show the arrangements for Baba’s ‘Samadhi’ claiming that someone who is building the ‘Samadhi’ has sent. However, those who watched the visuals came to unanimous conclusion.

Baba shows his miracle in the sky!

The sighting of the moon in the daytime has sent Sathya Sai Baba devotees into rapturous joy. When the mortal remains of Baba were being buried amidst vedic hymns at Sai Kulwant Hall in Puttaparthi, thousands of devotees witnessed a rare sight of the moon appearing in the clear summer sky. This was seen as a miracle of Baba. The devotees cried with joy on seeing the moon.

"This is a manifestation of Baba's power," announced Anil Kumar, an ardent devotee who used to translate Baba's preachings into English. For several devotees who adore Baba as a living God, the appearance of moon was a sign that Baba was showering his blessings on his followers from the sky.

Watched by a galaxy of personalities including Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and B.S. Yeddyurappa respectively Governors E.S.L. Narasimhan and Shivraj V. Patil, BJP leaders L.K. Advani, M.Venkiah Naidu, Bandaru Dattatreya, former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and hundreds of his followers, Sai Baba's body was buried amidst chanting of "sai" mantras.

Once the last rites were performed by vedic pandits, red curtains were drawn around 9:45 a.m. and the process started for laying the body in a pit created at the spot in Sai Kulwant where the spiritual leader used to make his preaching for his followers for a number of years. It lasted about 25 minutes.

The spot where he was buried is now expected to become an eternal memorial for Sai Baba, who at the age of 14 announced himself as a reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba.

Satya Sai's Coffin Was Ordered On April 4th

This is startling news. The details were officially grabbed by a TV channel. As per the channel, Satya Sai Trust ordered for a coffin on April 4th itself. As per the order the coffin was sent to Puttaparthi from Coimbatore's Kumar And Co. This has turned evident with the dated receipt and the order copy in the form of email.

So, the doubts surrounding Satya Sai's death and the announcements made by doctors and Trust people are to be investigated.

This is apparently implying that Baba didn't breathe his last at 7:30 AM on Apr 24th but happened long ago.

Satya Sai enters Maha Samadhi

India’s most revered spiritual guru Satya Sai Baba entered “Maha Samadhi” on Wednesday, amid chanting of Vedic rhymes.

The last rites of Sai Baba, who passed away on Sunday, were performed at Sai Kulvant Hall in Prasanti Nilayam, in the presence of hundreds of select devotees and VIPs, while thousands of devotees watched it on giant television screens outside Prashanti Nilayam.

The last rites were performed as per the Hindu religion by his nephew and Satya Sai Trust member R J Ratnakar Raju. As many 15 priests from various temples like Srisailam and Kalahasti read Vedic hymns, conducted “prayashchitta” and conducted proceedings like “dasa danams” (10 donations).

Ratnakar sprinkled holy water brought from nine sacred rivers and soil from the Saraswati Teertha, a pilgrimage spot – near present day Kurukshetra - from where the ancient Saraswati river is said to have emerged.

After the rituals were completed at around 9.35 am, the process of laying Baba to rest in a pit (7ft deep and 12ft length) began. The pit is 10ft behind from where his body was placed in the glass casket in the hall since Sunday evening. Thick red colour curtains were pulled over the area so as to ensure that the Samadhi proceeding remain a private affair. Only key members of the Sai Trust and some family members would stand witness to the rituals.

Once the body was placed in the pit, holy ash was poured over the body, along with salt, silver, gold and navaratnas, to fill up Baba’s Samadhi. Later, soil brought from various religious places was filled in the Samadhi. After the Samadhi is built, a memorial with a golden statue of Baba would be built at the spot, which would be developed into sanctum sanctorum of Sai temple.

The location of his ‘Maha Samadhi’ has been chosen as per Sathya Sai’s own wish. It is the same place from where he used to address his devotees and give darshan to them.

A host of VIPs including Governor, ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, LK Advani, Punjab Governor Shivraj Patil, Venkaiah Naidu, Chandrababu Naidu, and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa are attending the funeral ceremony.

The state government, which had declared four day mourning since Sunday, also honoured Baba with a gun salute.

Puttaparthi To Become Indian Vatican

It needs no introduction to any catholic Christian on the sanctity of the Vatican and the significance it has in the Christian community. Now, many are saying that something like this should be done with the town of Puttaparthi, the abode of Satya Sai Baba. They are proposing that this should get a separate status in India.

Incidentally, secularism is high in our country and the same happens in Puttaparthi as well. Also, there is service and love as the key principle in Puttaparthi. Though Indian government can’t endorse a Hindu center given its secular image, but Satya Sai’s place can be endorsed as his doctrines are based on universal love irrespective of religion.

Though he is not there physically, the activities will continue and pilgrimage can also be attracted. Recently, a journalist asked the noted ghazal maestro Ghazal Srinivas about this and queried “But if Puttaparthi were to be given some special status, some are saying problems can also arise just like it is happening in Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam. You think it is right?”

For this, Ghazal Srinivas reportedly smiled and referring to Satya Sai Baba he said “He knows and sees everything. Though he is physically not present, he knows how to handle everything even from his Samadhi.” Well… let us wait to see if there will be an Indian Vatican then.
