The audio launch of 'Maaveeran' is a special moment for Chiranjeevi because his son Ram Charan is having the first step forward into Kollywood. Unluckily sudden demise of Sathya Sai Baba made mega star to bunk the program in Chennai on Sunday, which made Ram Charan to play the host with Allu Aravind, Allu Sirish and Rajamouli standing besides him.  According to the sources, no dubbing film had such a big launch in Tamilnadu till date. This magnificent audio launch event was graced by legendary Kamal Hassan, Mr and Mrs. Maniratnam. Speaking to the guests, Ram Charan shared his relation with Chennai where he did schooling and also claimed that he can speak and understand Tamil language. Chiranjeevi always wanted his son to do Tamil films while idea of 'Maaveeran' also belonged to him. Calling this film as a perfect pack of mass elements, Ram Charan expressed his future plan to do a direct Tamil film in year end with a noted director. As dignitaries on the stage blessed Ram Charan for a success, it was all the way a thorough professional show from mega power star.

Super Stars gracing Mega Power Star

Allu Aravind and Chiranjeevi were although a bit late in releasing 'Maaveeran'(Tamil version of Magadheera), finally the Ram Charan's flick will be hitting the Tamil screens in this summer.  We already know that Tollywood's industry hit 'Magadheera' is dubbed into Tamil as 'Maaveeran' while Geetha Arts is allied with Udayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies in planning this giant Kollywood release. Audio launch of 'Maaveeran' was scheduled to be held last week (16th April) in presence of Super Star Rajinikanth but called off at last minute due to unforeseen reasons. Finally, audio album will be released today at Adyar Park, Chennai at 7PM with Mega Star Chiranjeevi, Versatile actor Kamal Hassan and maverick director Mani Ratnam gracing the occasion as chief guests. Massive response to trailers of 'Maaveeran' aired in cinema halls will be a positive sign before audio release. Being the potential blockbuster, there is every probability that Ram Charan will rewrite old records even in Kollywood.

Tamil Thambis 'Chinna Choopu' On 'Magadheera'

While it is a regular culture of sorts to see remakes and dubbing films shuttling between Tollywood and Kollywood, there is one point of observation. It is often seen that the Kollywood audience has got a ‘Chinna Choopu’ towards the Telugu flicks. They feel that focus is more on glamour but content and substance is very poor. Also, they quip that cinematic liberties are too illogical in our flicks.

Anyways, right now their focus has gone onto the biggest blockbuster of Tollywood ‘Magadheera’. Apparently, it is 2 years since the film was released and the Tamil version was also due to release at that time. But it was delayed for various reasons and it resulted in no business. As it is, they have a ‘Chinna Choopu’ and with this delay the interest on ‘Maaveeran’, the Tamil version of ‘Magadheera’, has dropped further.

Now, it is heard that the Allu camp wants to release the film on their own since no distributors are found. Let us see whether Bhairava can break the Kollywood box office or not…

Udhayanidhi Stalin clinches ‘Magadheera’

Telugu film industry’s most acclaimed film of the decade ‘Magadheera’ has been on its way to Kollywood for a very long period of time. There were more competitions amongst the producers to acquire the remake rights. Later it was heard that the film’s producer Allu Aravind is planning to dub in Tamil reshooting for some sequences so as to suit the tastes of Tamil Nadu audiences.

The Tamil version has been titled as ‘Maaveeran’ and will mark the debut of Cheeranjivi’s son Ram Charan Teja in Kollywood while Kajal Agarwal stars opposite him in female lead role. Sri Hari, Dev Gill of ‘Sura’ fame are playing important roles in this big-budget flick.
Chiranjeevi makes a cameo in the title song featuring his son Ram Charan Teja and Mumaith Khan that was shot along with 500 dancers at Chennai harbor. K. Bhagyaraj has written dialogues for the Tamil version while Vaali and Jayaram have penned lyrics for the songs composed by M.M Keeravani.
S.S. Rajamouli has penned screenplay and directed this film that revolves around the concept of reincarnation.
Udhayanidhi Stalin is planning to promote the film to a bigger scale and release it by end of May.

Sekhar To Make 'Magadheera' With Rana

Those who know Sekhar Kammula well say he is one director who speaks less, keeps a low profile, doesn’t comment much on cine folks.

However, it is heard that in a recent get together, someone prompted our man and he was sharing his thoughts which eventually became the possibility of a film project.

Well, Kammula reportedly said “Rana looks better in ‘Magadheera’ style of getup. He has that height, chiseled looks of a warrior so he will look well.” For this, few distributors who were around Kammula immediately said “Why don’t you do a film with him like that?” it is heard that Kammula flashed his endearing smile as usual and walked away.

On the other hand, few analysts said “Comparing Rana with Ramcharan is okay because both are very good friends. However, if the comparing was done with Junior NTR, there might have been some trouble. So, when making comparisons one has to be careful and Kammula did the right thing.”

'Magadheera' New Version For Tamil Thambis

It is a tradition of sorts to see Telugu and Tamil movies getting exchanged. As such, the Telugu audience has welcomed Tamil movies and its heroes in a big way and now the time has come for the Tollywood stars to make their presence felt in the shores of Tamil Nadu. The reason for this discussion is due to the blockbuster ‘Magadheera’.

News is that ‘Magadheera’ is all set to arrive in Tamil Nadu and is renamed as ‘Maaveeran’. Unlike the regular dubbed flicks, producer Allu Aravind has given it a new touch.

Few scenes have been shot on Ramcharan and Kajal in Chennai, Pollachi, Vizag and other areas. Also, a song was canned on Charan, Chiranjeevi and Mumaith Khan at Chennai harbor with 500 dancers, as per sources.

The lyrics were penned by Vaali and voices were rendered by Ranjith and Janaki. One can recall that it was nearly 21 years ago when Allu Aravind was seen as a producer in Tamil with the film ‘Maapillai’ and this had Rajinikanth and Amala in the lead.

Who will break Magadheera?

This summer is heated up. Along with World Cup cricket, we even have astonishing releases 'Shakti', 'Teen Maar' and few more from young heroes. Apparently, eyes of Jr NTR and Pawan Kalyan are set to create new records by crossing 'Magadheera'. Usually any big release from both these two heroes will attract immense hype and above two films are no different. Insiders in industry put in a different way saying, on a given day it is only either Pawan or Mahesh could become possible threats to 'Magadheera' records. Such is the following and craze for films from them. Apparently, 'Shakti' coming up with a never seen fantasy subject on Telugu screen added with mind blowing VFX and Jr NTR's regular mania, we can hope for the best show.  In second, Pawan Kalyan is forever the most selling item in market. If given a hit talk for ‘Teen Maar’ from the first day, he could easily create new history. Let us see, how far this April heat will affect 'Magadheera' as we do have surprise releases like '100% Love', 'Nenu Naa Rakshasi' and 'Mr. Perfect'.

Was 'Magadheera' Horse from Ali's Stud Farm?

After sensational revelations about the alleged nexus between money launderer Hasan Ali and politicians and film stars, there is a buzz in political circles that Ali, who owns a stud farm in Pune, had supplied top breed horses for the shooting of the hugely successful movie "Magadheera". The actor-turned-politician and Praja Rajyam Party President Chiranjeevi's son Ramcharan Teja plays the lead role in the film.

In fact, a black horse which appears prominently in the fantasy movie was specially picked up from the Pune farm owned by Hasan Ali. There are also rumours that Ramcharan had stayed in Pune to undergo training in horse-riding. Several action scenes in the movie, directed by Rajamouli, involve horses.

Though Chiranjeevi vehemently denied any links with Hasan Ali, it is said that at that time neither the actor nor any of his advisers had any knowledge about the nefarious activities of Ali. Some believe that It could be a case of professional arrangement between a stud farm owner and a film unit.

According to the report in a New Delhi based daily, Ali, who is now in the CBI custody, helped a former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and a prominent film star-turned politician to launder their ill- gotten wealth and pump it back to fund elections and movies. Investigators said Ali was not just laundering black money, but was also helping politicians and film stars access it whenever they wanted.

Though the report did not mention the names of these two leaders for want of documentary evidence, it was obvious that it was referring to Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu and Chiranjeevi. The report said Ali had assisted at least two regional political parties of AP in routing back their black money for election campaigns during the past decade.

Rajamouli denies Hindi remake of 'Magadheera'

Magadheera, the all-time highest grocer of Telugu cinema industry, was released in 2009. Two years passed, still news of its Hindi remake is doing rounds. A Mumbai based newspaper recently carried news that Rajamouli would be remakingMagadheera in Hindi with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif as the lead pair. But Rajamouli vehemently denied them.

"I am currently directing Eega and will start another Telugu film with Prabhas later this year. There is no plan as such of remaking Magadheera ," Rajamouli stated.

Remember Rajamouli also turned down the offer of remaking it in Tamil.
